How to get Partial refund on Fiverr || how to cancel an order in fiverr 2025
On Fiverr, getting a partial refund is possible, but it’s not automatic — it usually requires agreement between you and the seller. Here’s a detailed guide:
🔹 1. Understand How Fiverr Refunds Work
Fiverr doesn’t have a direct “partial refund” button.
Refunds are processed through order cancellations (full or partial).
If you only want part of your money back, you and the seller must agree on the amount.
🔹 2. Talk to the Seller First
Go to your order page.
Open the chat with your seller and explain why you’re asking for a partial refund (for example: only part of the work was done, or quality didn’t match expectations).
Suggest a fair percentage or dollar amount to refund.
🔹 3. Use the “Resolution Center”
Open the Order Page.
Click Resolution Center (on the right side).
Select Ask for order cancellation.
In the notes, request a partial refund and state the amount.
The seller must approve this request.
🔹 4. If Seller Agrees
Fiverr will process the cancellation.
The refund (partial amount) will be returned as Fiverr Balance (not direct cash at first).
You can use it for other orders, or withdraw to your payment method if eligible.
🔹 5. If Seller Refuses
If the seller doesn’t agree, you can contact Fiverr Customer Support.
Go to Help & Support → Submit a Request.
Explain your situation clearly, attach screenshots, and state the refund amount you are asking for.
Fiverr support will review and may issue a partial refund directly.
⚠️ Important Notes
Refunds are not sent back to your bank/PayPal immediately; they first go into your Fiverr account balance.
Partial refunds are handled case by case, so being polite and clear improves your chances.
If most of the work was delivered, Fiverr may side with the seller unless you prove issues.
